Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright as well as a teacher at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was the daughter of the British father and English-Turkish Cypriot mother. At the beginning of her career, Anna appeared on several television commercials. Anna moved to Toronto, Ontario, for the purpose of pursuing her acting. In the decade following, she moved to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. They got engaged in 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They got weddings in the month of December the same year, and they then renewed their vows during a Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011.
