Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was brought up in California, America. She began the modeling profession in Italy. The beginning of her acting career came in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After a difficult fight, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. The transition was difficult for Amy as she had change from modeling to performing. Models aren't considered great actors, so they usually play smaller, less important roles. Amy never gave up. Her first major part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy got her first recognition by the industry for her performance over the past 10 years. She continued to do important films like Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved regular character.
