Amy Smart, an American model and actress from the United States. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first role. The struggle she had to get the role on Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was very intense. Amy had a difficult time making the transition from modeling to acting because model actors aren't generally considered to be actors of any kind. Models are often only given minor or unimportant roles. Amy never gave up. Her first big part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. In 2005, she was cast as the lead in The romantic comedic film Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major box office success and Amy has finally achieved the fame she had been trying for for more than 10 years. Amy went on to appear in major film projects including the Crank Series opposite Jason Statham, and Shameless.
